I had a blast 1st...

Liked: Isaiah is really friendly. Yall have the best Croissants & Oatmilk.
Disliked: My only concern is that I was having a hard time with the curtain. Couldnt navigate it the way I want it. They all fell down and I have to wait til the morning to get help from the staff

The place to be in...

Liked: Was a pleasure staying at this boutique Hotel.Rooms not big but very comfortable.Staff brilliant.Located right amongst Venice nightlife but not on the esplanade.Coffee and Croissants for Breaky.Can’t recommend highly enough.

Loved the location and interior...

Liked: Perfect location between Venice and Santa Monica Pier. Very unique interior design mixed french country and modern. Loved the entire Apt#25 overlooking the beach.
Disliked: Check in was clunky as we waited a 10min for the staff to let us in.

Liked: Perfect location, 20 meters from the beach, short and overnight parking options nearby.We stayed in a 2-bedroom suite that was clean, spacious and very comfortable.

Liked: I recently stayed at Gjelina in Los Angeles and overall, it was a unique and memorable experience. The design is effortlessly chic minimalist, earthy, and very much in line with the Venice aesthetic. If you’re someone who appreciates subtle luxury and a boutique vibe, this place will likely impress you.

Disappointing

Disliked: We chose this hotel because of the good reviews and its appearance, however, we were deeply disappointed. First of all, during our honeymoon, they showed us no attention at all. The room was tiny and completely interior, with a window that couldn't be opened and faced a wall, allowing no natural light to enter. The included breakfast is a lie; they only give you a terrible coffee and a croissant.Plus, as soon as you arrive, they hold a $100 deposit on your card, which I still haven't gotten back, and it's been several days. Anyway, look for another option in Santa Monica; there are much better ones.

I'd upgrade for one of...

Liked: Style, location, staff, vibe
Disliked: The acoustics. I didn't really enjoy a good nights sleep. Very thin walls, lots of noise from the main corridor and from the water when other visitors take a shower or use the bathroom.
