Liked: The size of the room and the facilities were great. The staff and service were excellent and the location was very handy for exploring the east coast.

A quality hotel with quality...

Liked: We had an excellent breakfast. Both restaurants were very good and the service was excellent. The room was a good size and well appointed in a classic decor style and the bed was particularly comfortable allowing us a quality night's sleep. The location is perfect for access to the NE coastal resorts and English Heritage/National Trust sites nearby.
Disliked: On the the three nights that we stayed, the summer temperatures were high. There is no air conditioning in the rooms but we did have access to a portable fan and (if requested) ice could be delivered to help cool the room.

Liked: The room was spacious and spotlessly clean; the staff attentive and helpful and the communal areas were charming and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful, tasty and cooked to order.
Disliked: Nothing.
