Superb

Liked: James and sarah who run the pub were very friendly welcoming and very accommodating the rooms were clean tea candles coffee making facilities were ample too
Disliked: There wasn't anything that we didn't like

Great service and value for...

Liked: Staff were very friendly and helpful.The breakfast was very good with generous portions.There was flexibility with getting in and out late which was helpful as there was possibility that we would be coming back very late at night.
Disliked: There was some road noise at night.There was a lack of plugs in the room for charging phones and apple watch.

Weekend in Durham

Liked: The whole booking experience was spot on. I messaged the hotel to ask for an early check-in (at no extra cost, nice touch)arrived early, and the room was ready to check in. Breakfast in the morning was really good even though I was late for breakfast. Sarah went out of her way to make me a full English, I would definitely stay here again.

Good

Liked: The locals and staff were very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was excellent, cereals, coffee/tea/juice, pastries, cooked English breakfast- delicious thank you. Room was a nice size, comfy bed and all that we needed for a nights stay - very relaxing. Free parking out front for the car and local food venues in walking distance.
Disliked: Nothing - hotel is a little dated but adds to its charm.
