Liked: Absolutely breathtaking scenic beauty!
Disliked: I can’t think of anything at the moment.

Awesome anniversary stay!!

Liked: We had such a great time at the Gideon Putnam. McKenzie at the front desk was super friendly—she gave us a free room upgrade for our anniversary and even hooked us up with a coupon for the restaurant.The food was amazing. We split the duck tacos, lobster risotto, and a flatbread—everything was so good. Also, the bed was insanely comfortable. Like, we didn’t want to get up in the morning.Our suite had a great view of the park, and being able to walk right out into Saratoga Spa State Park in the morning was the best. There’s a ton to do without ever needing to leave the grounds.Definitely planning to come back. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a relaxing, low-key getaway.

Liked: Very convenient to concert venue.
Disliked: A wee bit dated. I’d like more information about the park and Amenities at the spa were booked - my fault for not booking ahead.

Liked: The hotel is right in the park, which meant we could come and go to/from the jazz festival at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center very easily. The hotel and the park are beautiful.
Disliked: The hotel is 90 years old and unfortunately so are the elevators. It seems the guest elevator was out of service for months and they did not tell us until we arrived. There was a scary manually operated elevator that required a call to the front desk for service. Also, we were advised of a $30/day amenities fee at check in for amenities we were not using, such as the Victoria pool and the shuttle into town. They charged us 3x what it would ordinarily cost to stay there because of the jazz festival, so they knew we were not going to town or swimming in the pool! Meanwhile, there were no amenities in the room. No plush robe. No slippers. Not a bottle of Saratoga water or any water for that matter. Those amenities used to be part of the reason we stayed at the Gideon Putnam for the last several years when going to the jazz festival.

Disappointing

Beautiful relaxing adventure.

Liked: Beautiful property. State Park, mineral springs, SPA, Pool, Electric Bikes, buildings, shuttle service to Broadway, so pretty.
Disliked: Not much! Wish the pool stayed open later than 6pm. It was hot while we were there and really could have used the pool at least until 8 or 9.

Liked: Very close to SPAC & downtown.
Disliked: The room had garbage on the floor along with 3 pills (I’m assuming ibuprofen), stains all over the bed and sheets and the shower gel and shampoo container were both empty when I tried to take a shower. There was also a dead bug leg on the pillow. For the price we paid, I would not expect this at all! I also paid for a king bed but was given a queen bed upon check in!
