Good comfortable bed & clean,...

Liked: Superior double room good size.
Disliked: Stairs up to our room in the attached building - then into main house up stairs to the breakfast room, people with poor mobility may struggle.

Pleasant stay

Liked: Affordable and clean.
Disliked: Receptionist seemed very stressed seeing as the hotel was very quiet

Great overnight stay

Liked: The hotel was lovely and all the staff that we met were so helpful we were in Romford for a family party and my husbands elderly parents decided to come last minute we contacted the hotel to see if they had a room for them and they were kind enough to give us the lodge for the nigh so that my mother in law didnt have to climb the steps to the main building. Its 2 bedroom with a kitchen and we had 2 bathrooms and the beds were really comfortable Breakfast was lovely and cooked to perfection Would definitely stay here again

Disliked: Breakfast was disappointing. Ordered the night before but was incorrect and dried up.

Unpleasantly noisy

Liked: The location was useful for where I wanted to be.
Disliked: Where do I start.My room was absolutely teeny, with no air conditioning so it was like a sauna. If I opened a window it was too noisy because of the traffic noise, people chatting at the pub opposite and the staff, unbelievably dragging the wheely bin out at 10:15pm passed my window. The whole hotel is not insulated for noise so I could hear upstairs every time they moved, coughed, snored! My room was also the main thorough fair to everywhere else and next to the kitchen. At 3am the night guard decided to sit on the staff toilet and have a video call with his friend. This was the straw that broke the camels back and I had to shout to get him to be quiet. He flushed the loo and was a bit quieter for the night thankfully. I would not recommend this hotel for anyone who struggles getting to sleep, staying asleep or can’t sleep in a sauna.

Completely met expectations.

Liked: Hotel was extremely well located for access to Lee Valley Hockey Centre, which we require. Train station was close with regular services. Hotel was very clean and facilities were good with free parking.
Disliked: Room was a little warm, with no air conditioning, although there was floor standing fan which helped. It was also June when we stayed and the temperatures were in excess of 20 degrees overnight.
