Liked: Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely freshly cooked breakfast.
Disliked: Room was very dusty and had cobwebs. The bed had a mattress on top of another mattress which was very uncomfortable and felt unsafe! The toilet seat was broken as was the toilet roll holder.

Worth a visit but area...

Liked: Lots of memorabilia, original decor, comfortable room , great breakfast, good parking, nice size too room
Disliked: Security around building, got accosted going from car to hotel, not threatening but disturbing, couple hanging around but not related to hotel

Disliked: Room was tired looking and smelt stale. Staff were a bit off with me when I arrived, as it was pointed out I should have contacted them in advance about bringing my dog. Was my fault. I booked there because it was “pet friendly” but I didn’t read the small print about giving advanced notice of this. Thought they handled it badly though and I felt unwelcome from the start. I left after the first night even though I’d paid for two

Charming Georgian hotel, well located,...

Liked: Beautiful Georgian building with oak-panelled rooms filled with antique furniture, paintings and ornaments make it a really charming and interesting place to stay. Rooms are simple but comfortable and great value. Breakfast is fantastic. We ate in the bar and the food was good. BIG portions. Great location. Highly recommended for a shorst stay in Deby especially for the University. What really made a difference was the freindliness of the staff. Free parking at the back if you arrive by car. Would definitely stay again

Enjoyable stay in a quirky...

Liked: Quirky, characterful, great location, cosy bar with fascinating memorabilia adorning the walls. Free parking, good location.
Disliked: Bar closed early….other than that nothing really but it wouldn’t be to everyone’s taste….definitely not posh enough for the missus.

Liked: The quirky interior, a little different in style. Gorgeous 4 poster bed. It has character and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely be staying here again
