Gaslamp Hostel

Pretty good for a hostel!

Liked: Love the decoration, it’s beautiful, cozy and comfortable.
Disliked: Poor breakfast and bathrooms had a musty smell.

I really liked it.

Liked: Cool place. An outlet for every bunk bed, and one in every locker, so you can charge and secure electronics at the same time. Fast internet. Free coffee and chocolate milk, plus free cereal, oatmeal packets, and canned fruit every morning. Supermarket is within walking distance. So is the train station. Bathrooms were very clean. I would stay again.
Disliked: Sometimes reception plays the music too loud. It's not that reception is playing the music too loud at their desk, I mean there are speakers over the stairs, sofas, and in the bathrooms that carry the music throughout the common areas. To be fair, they turned down the music when I asked, but that put me in the position of being the grumpy old man raining on the parade. It was just a bit much.

Fun and colorful..great spot

Liked: The photos don't lie! This place is sooo colorful and has really cool artwork throughout. A nice change from the boring looking hostels I've stayed at recently. The staffs are really nice and the location is perfect for getting around to local sights.
Disliked: Nothing

Exceptional

Liked: The location was great, the rooms were clean, and there was some cereal, oatmeal, and coffee in the morning. Also, it was really nice that there were activities organized every night, so that is a great way to meet people!
