Unusual, quirky, pretty place to...

Liked: Quirky and unusual; lovely gardens; nice room; great breakfast; easy parking and easy to find. Breakfast staff lovely.
Disliked: There was a fire in the boiler room soon after we arrived. 3 fire engines attended. Poor receptionist was beside herself and staff all totally panicked. Guests attempting to put out fires and look after staff. A little more training and preparation for young and inexperienced staff needed as really for the staff. They didn’t seem to know what to do in the circumstances. All resolved and stay was lovely but like I say, felt for the staff.

Liked: Perfect location for us as we were attending a family party and we only had a short walk to the venue, the second day we visited with family only a short drive away and had a meal locally the later checkout time was a real bonus
Disliked: Nothing

Disliked: Hotel and rooms were very tired. Parts of main hotel not cleaned ( carpets) Looked too much like a budget motel

Good stay but a little...

Liked: The hotel is clean and comfortable and good value for money. A little dated but you can forgive this due to the lovely style of the hotel.
Disliked: There was a small bin fire at the hotel which sent the team in to a frenzy. There were no clear instructions or anyone in-charge of the situation along with no guest list printed to make sure all the guests were out of the building. The receptionist was hyper ventilating at the thought of a fire. When asked if we could return when the small fire was out, the team member stated that they would be closing the facilities due to the team being traumatised. We were told to help ourselves if we needed a drink that bad. We had to go to a local pub for food and drinks, which wasn't acceptable.
