Garrison Hotel

Excellent value and very enjoyable

Liked: Great location for tram to Arena and also visiting family..Reception staff extremely helpful and very friendly.
Disliked: Rooms are a bit dated and could do with a refurb however for the price the rooms are perfectly adequate, comfortable and clean.

A little oasis of calm...

Liked: I love staying here. Not because its particularly plush or owt, but because the hotel is set up into little individual apartments and the thick outer walls provide soundproofing from city traffic noise. An oasis of calm.
Disliked: Not gonna lie, 2 flights of stairs up to breakfast every morning is less than ideal, when the old bones haven't warmed up yet.

Quaint and interesting place.

Liked: Staff were fab, especially Alicia. Quaint place to stay.
Disliked: Cooked breakfast let the hotel down.

Okay place for one night

Liked: Good breakfast and friendly staff. Bed was comfortable. Shower was good and had nice toiletries. Lots of available parking.
Disliked: Decor is a bit dated. Didn't like that there was a latch to keep the door from opening fully from the outside. Tv didn't work half the time. The sensor lights shone into the room if someone walked by in the evening. One of the sockets didn't work. Awkward steps from the bar to the rooms.

Lovely staff and nice room

Liked: Room was very clean, bed was comfortable and the hotel itself is only a 5-10 minute taxi journey into the city centre. The staff were all nice and welcoming.
Disliked: I mentioned to reception on check out that the shower head in our room needed fixing. It was leaking out of the side and creating a big puddle of water down the side of the bath (the shower screen didn't stop it). The feedback was taken on board so hopefully it'll be resolved in future. The parking can be a bit tricky if its busy.
