Something different

Liked: The rooms are exceptionally small but this is thematically appropriate. After all, they are similar to cells! The bed was great and everything seemed clean enough.The rooms, due to the limited space do not have kettles inside but they offer free of charge use of a machine in the kitchen/bar area that can make much more than simply hot water.

Exceptional

Liked: The hotel was in an excellent location just as you enter the main town. It was a great jumping off spot for many key attractions.
Disliked: I cannot fault anything at the Garrison.

Overpriced and not comfortable enough...

Liked: Breakfast wasn't included as we booked via booking .com. The location is great. Coffee was good and the access to the bar/lounge was good but necessary as I had to do some work while there and the room had no desk.
Disliked: There was an overriding smell of damp in both rooms. They were also tiny so overall it didn't feel like great value. The location was great but I will not be staying here again

Last minute booking, fun stay

Liked: Great location, lovely staff
Disliked: Shower outside of the room - but it’s a minor point and was spacious and clean

Liked: Modern, clean, comfortable beds, great showers, great complimentary beverages
Disliked: Cells just a bit too small for 2 people and luggage

Lovely staff, good location, free...

Liked: Staff really nice. Good location. Suited its purpose. Free coffee or tea was a great addition.
Disliked: The lighting in the room was really bad. View from the window was a car park and the window next to the top bunk was head height for people outside, so you couldn't really leave it open.

Great location and fun stay

Liked: We stayed in the cells... rooms are tiny (but as expected). Hopefully your mate doesn't snore too loud. Otherwise it was a quite nice experience. The shower is a separate room (private to your room, just no space) but you do have a toilet and sink in your cell which was very nice. Coffee/Tea are provided and beds are comfortable. Location is also a short walk into the city area.
Disliked: Limited on site parking. Next available parking option is not far but an extra 5 for overnight.
