Very pleasant and welcoming

Liked: Breakfast, excellent. Room spacious. Host very welcoming. Location OK
Disliked: WI FI in the room was virtually non existent ( room 2 )Although the walk to Bakewell was approx. 20 to 25 mins. Unfortunately because of OA in both knees the steep hill to and from the accommodation was very tiring. Bear this in mind if you are a bit infirm.

We would definitely stay again...

Liked: The cottage is lovely.The rooms are decorated beautifully with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Very comfortable beds to give us a good sleep. Ivan and his family are great hosts. He remembered our names when speaking to us which made it more personal. They deserve five stars for everything.
Disliked: Nothing.

Beautiful accommodation

Liked: Tucked away, but convenient location. Large, comfortable room.
Disliked: The mattress was very soft, although this is probably personal preference. Minor point, but the info re removal of shoes is all in capitals in the pre booking email.It's a bit like being shouted at.

Liked: Good location. Room clean & comfortable.
Disliked: Mixed messages- one person telling us to always wear slippers inside whilst another telling us not to bother.

Liked: Gardeners cottage is a hidden little gem about a 10-minute walk from Bakewell.It sits in lovely grounds with beautiful views over the valley. It was so lovely to be able to sit in peace in the garden and enjoy the views after a busy day.The hosts Ivan and his mother were lovely and welcoming. The rooms were great and the breakfast was perfect. Highly recommend we will definitely return at some point.
