Garden of Dreams Boutique Hotel

Very disappointed!

Disliked: No air condition! The room was very hot when we arrived! In March!?Water was hardly running!Breakfast far too late!!

would not recommend to anyone...

Liked: Location ok - further to 'downtown" area of Ajijic than expected
Disliked: Attitude of receptionist at arrival AND next morning. Abrupt and rudeBreakfast (& more importantly coffee) not available first morning until after 8:30Hot water for shower not available first morning until well after 8:00 (had to call reception)

Lovely hotel with friendly staff,...

Liked: The grounds are beautiful, there is a scent of flowers, the pool, the breakfast, the location, all great. The room was comfortable. I was able to borrow a yoga mat.
Disliked: The in-person desk closes at 3:00. I had to reach the staff off hours and they were slow to respond. There was a party one night and the noise/music went until 1:30 am, was supposed to stop earlier.

A lovely peaceful refuge

Liked: Beautiful garden, very peaceful, quiet. Great atmosphere. Good WIFI, comfortable. Pretty good breakfast
Disliked: No coffee until 8:30 AM. Would appreciate coffee earlierA

Beautiful Gardens and Great Location

Liked: Absolutely beautiful garden areas! We had a lot of things we had to take care of and did not get to sit and enjoy the garden the way we would have liked. Just far enough away from the busiest areas so that it was very quiet but still within walking distance to most all of the points of interest . Security with locking gates.
Disliked: No a/c in the room. It was tolerable at night, but we were there during the winter. Summer would be a challenge. The ceiling fan moved the air, but I would suspect, not enough to cool you off during the summer.

Very almost and relaxing stay.

Liked: The grounds and pool were beautiful. I loved the courtyard setting

It was ok.

Liked: The breakfast was as stated. You could order scrambled eggs. We didn’t find the toaster until the second day when another guest showed. The gardens were nice.
Disliked: The room we stayed in requires an update. The mattress, linens and pillows are old and dated. Unfortunately no toilet paper is allowed down the toilet. I understand this is an old building with old plumbing.

Garden of Dreams is super...

Liked: The rooms are large, clean, and comfy, the grounds are beautiful, peaceful, quiet and inviting, and the staff are all super pleasant, efficient and very helpful. The swimming pool is a bonus because they are fairly rare in Ajijic hotels. Also Garden of Dreams is a little like an upscale Bed and Breakfast since all the guests can enjoy breakfast talking together, exchanging Ajijic experiences and offering suggestions.
Disliked: There is nothing to dislike. I highly recommend this hotel.
