Disliked: Our room had a really bad smell in it . The room itself was clean and comfortable but it stank , we slept with the windows open

Liked: Beautiful location and view! Charming and full of character.
Disliked: The bathroom was dated. The shower flooded the floor. Very small room with too much furniture. There was a large wardrobe that could easily be removed.

A very enjoyable stay in...

Liked: The room was very nice, plenty of space, warm & comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities were provided with plenty of extra sachets and tea bags, wifi was excellent and easy to connect and the breakfast was first class! Although the hotel was very busy with guests, the room was very quiet and the bed very comfortable.
Disliked: Better view would have been nice, but we liked being on the ground floor as it’s much more accessible.

Exceptional

Liked: The hotel was stunning, inside and out. Which is why we were so disappointed when we stayed at another "bespoke hotel" on The Isle of Skye the next day. As that hotel was disgusting!
Disliked: That we hadn't booked for longer

You know what you're getting

Liked: Cheap and cheerful, but doesn't try to be something it isn't. The inside is a bit dated, could do with some modernisation but our room was spotless and comfortable. Beautiful view over the bay, highly recommend the black pearl up the road for dinner!
Disliked: A bit inconvenient bringing the dogs all the way through the hotel and reception area to take them for their business. This meant trailing through in my pj's before bed, avoiding eye contact with anyone in sight. Other hotels have advised us to use an unalarmed fire exit for this purpose which is a lot more convenient for all.
