Liked: Great breakfast and social hour. Pool and jacuzzi were well managed for comfort. Outdoor areas for eating and socializing were spacious and very comfortable. Grounds keeping was excellent. Rooms were up to date, quiet and well appointed. Staff was friendly and professional.

Close to Jack London park....

Liked: Beautiful hotel and grounds. Room was also large and attractive.
Disliked: Deep spa tub shower hard for older people to climb in and out if. Bed low to ground and too soft.

I would defiitely recommed.

A good Japanese ryokan experience...

Liked: The Japanese ryokan concept was nice. The room was spacious and comfortable.
Disliked: The hot water kettle would have been better than the hot water dispenser at the wet bar. However many ways we tried, I could never have hot tea or coffee.I would also clean all windows… Being Japanese and spending lots of time at great Ryokans in Japan, small “omotenashi”details matter to me. If someone stays more than one night, make sure to provide new soap for the second night. Bathrooms need to be spotless like the first day, hot things need to be served hot while cold things would be definitely cold…
