With its elevated position Gabriel House looks out over Cork's cathedral spires and the harbor. A 5-minute walk from the center the house is surrounded by landscaped gardens offering rooms with attached bathroom and free WiFi. Most rooms at Gabriel House Guest house boast stunning views of the garden and countryside. Rooms all feature TVs. All guests have access to filtered water and fresh ice available from reception. Dating from the early 1900s Gabriel House features 10-feet-high ceilings a characteristic staircase and many original features. Guests can relax in the garden and patio to the rear of the property while helpful staff can provide city maps and recommendations for trips or restaurants. Guests can pick out freshly laid eggs for breakfast each morning from the house's own resident hens. A traditional Irish breakfast is served daily and made from local ingredients while breads biscuits scones are freshly home-baked every day. Kent Train Station is 656 feet from the bed and breakfast and Cork Airport is a 15-minute drive. The Blarney Stone is just 5 miles away and Kinsale is 30 minutes' drive away.

Disappointing

Liked: Nice Staff parking available.
Disliked: Small poky room. Door should be a fire door but had gaps all around. Very noisy location due to building work around

Liked: It was quiet and perfectly located. Such a comfortable environment, amazing breakfast, and the kids loved seeing the animals outside.

Make sure everyone in your...

Liked: Friendly staff
Disliked: The property is on a steep hill. When walking back from town, you have to climb this hill and when you get to the property there is no elevator. May not be a big deal if your room is on the second floor. Ours was on the top floor and no assistance for the luggage was offered.

Great for a short stay...

Liked: Very helpful staff, good to have a real person on reception; great location close to city centre; fantastic breakfast
Disliked: The room was a bit cramped, but ok for one night only. Parking on the sloping car park area is tricky

Back in time with comfort...

Liked: Amazing room with beautiful victorian mirror. Greatly decorated common areas. Beautiful garden and great view.
Disliked: breakfast room was very crowded and cramped
