This fine Scottish Baronial Hall has a magnificent paneled entrance hall with an elegant staircase and offers guests a spacious lounge with an open fire overlooking the gardens and river. Beautiful location on the riverbank

Liked: Amazing old building on the banks of the river. Lovely evening stroll before dinner and lovely helpful staff.
Disliked: Wi-fi was a bit hit or miss, but it is an old building and it was advised in advance.

Liked: The room was very quiet and the breakfast was great. The room was clean.
Disliked: Most parts of the room was in a very bad condition.The windows hadn't been cleaned in at least 10 years. There were cobwebs everywhere, and dead animals in the corners of the windows. The paint was peeling off the window frames and walls. The safety catch on the window didn't work. The doorknob was so loose that we were afraid to use it to open the door.

Liked: Beautiful spot. Lovely walks. Breakfast included. Dinner in restaurant delicious. Staff all excellent. Clean and comfortable room.

Definitely no more than a...

Liked: Staff were friendly and accommodating.
Disliked: General fabric was tired and in need of a substantial refresh. Overall level of cleaning (eg carpets and windows) left a lot to be desired.

A really relaxing trip in...

Liked: The staff were super friendly and welcoming. The room had the most amazing view.
Disliked: The bed was a little smaller than I expected.
