Disappointing

Liked: Lovely meal in restaurant. Room had a lovely view and grounds were lovely. Room had a lot of potential but fell flat.
Disliked: No heating or hot water night of our stay, Unable to take full advantage of jacuzzi bath. Room cold but lovely staff member gave us a portable heater. Room not cleaned properly, crumbs on table and dust in various areas.

Disliked: Some cobwebs hanging about & disorganised approach to paying for meals etc , I was brought a card machine at my meal to pay for a glass of wine

Excellent overnight stay

Liked: Lovely hotel, heated rooms which made it cosy, lovely location and peaceful right by the river nith, had drinks by the open fire, staff very welcoming, excellent Scottish breakfast will definitely be going back
