Easy overnight stay in Fremantle...
Liked: Stayed overnight after returning from Rottnest. Great location in the middle of Fremantle, in a beautiful gated area shared with private residences. Comfortable room with connecting ensuite. Small continental breakfast provided as well which was a great touch.
Disliked: Lots of steps - difficult if you have large luggage or aren't as mobile. We also found it was loud between levels and could hear all movements upstairs.

Our stay at the Port...
Liked: The room was beautiful, very shabby chic/oldy worldy. It was clean and had everything we needed (towels, shower wash, kettle with tea, coffee and milk in the fridge) The breakfast was perfect. We had museli, fresh fruit, banana bread, yoghurts and apple juice. We ate our breakfast on our balcony which was the perfect setting. The courtyard is so beautiful, we felt like we were in Italy or France. The location is great - we didn’t realise how central it was. It is off one of the main high streets and you can practically see the markets at the end of the road. If you walk the other way the Esplanade park is at the end of the road. Little creatures brewery and the water front is only a 5 minute walk away. Gage Road brewery (a must visit) is only a 10 minute walk away. There is a wine/cheese bar right next door and the best ice cream shop a few doors down (they make their own ice cream and cones!) There is also a French restaurant opposite. Peggy’s sandwhich shop is a short walk away and has the best focaccia sandwhiches. Could not have got a better location if we tried. We would definitely stay here again!
Disliked: There was nothing that could have been better, just wish we had stayed longer!
