Very uncomfortable

Liked: The staff were friendly and helpful
Disliked: The hotel was incredibly dated and in desperate need of modernisation. There was no air-con, the showers were very old, there was staining on the walls, the hair dryer didn’t work, the carpets were threadbare. I could go on but won’t.

Bad

Liked: Staff we helpful.
Disliked: I was first allocated a room that was already occupied.Second room, although having been serviced, had faeces splattered on toilet seat.Room decor & fittings were very soiled and tired.Certainly not worth the money charged.I would NOT visit again and would advise others to go elsewhere.

So disappointed as was supposed...

Liked: The first day breakfast was lovely, freshly cooked and good service. the second day breakfast was buffet style and was dry eggs, soggy hash browns and watery mushrooms.
Disliked: The first room we was given was spacious but having a closer look it didn’t take long to see how dirty it was. There was scum all round the bath and toilet. Splash marks all over the table, bin & dresser. Carpet was stained and filthy with dust. Honestly we stayed in a travel lodge the night before and it was cleaner. The pool and spa area was dirty leaves in the pool ever cobwebs around the pool.

Vile and dangerous

Liked: I was excited to stay as the pool and facility’s seemed very appealing in a great location.
Disliked: I suggested and booked this hotel for a close friend travelling down to Maidenhead for the first time to attend a party.I was infuriated that my friends traveled from over 1.5 hours to open the door to a strong dirt and Mold smell, when asked for a new room they hardly got any sorry and was told no more rooms. The couple attempted to stay as they did not want to let me down for a big 30th celebration, they then found where the smell was coming from to find white fluffy mold in the carpet! My friend partner suffers with Asthma and the combination of stress trying to find a new hotel at such short notice as-well as possibly breathing in mold is unforgivable. My friend did not make the party and instead attended hospital to check over her partner as she was struggling to breathe. This was a total embarrassment to me who had recommended the higher prices hotel for the pool and luxury it claimed, my other party guests had stayed other alternative locally and I deeply regret this recommendation. This is a health and safety issue and the rooms should be inspected before being advertised.

Amazing friendly staff in hotel...

Liked: Fabulous pool and spa facilities and room was very nice and clean
Disliked: They could not provide us dinner?? ( as they had a big group in) That was very disappointing and very inconvenient as its at hotel and has a restaurant ( one of the reasons for staying.

Disappointing - 2.0 out of 5

Strange hotel that could be...

Liked: The food was surprisingly good. The guy who ran the spa was friendly and welcoming
Disliked: The welcome and the attitude of the staff, possibly the most unfriendly unwelcome hotel I have ever been to. I was told I couldn’t check in early unless I paid £20 and couldn’t use the spa facilities until check in (I was 35 mins early for check in!!!). Hotels are supposed to be welcoming friendly places that are customer centric. This was the opposite. I felt so unwelcome I was going to go and have a drink elsewhere rather than sit in the bar at the hotel. Had to empire the receptionist to get the manager out of a meeting to resolve.
