Location great,rooms ok,breakfast ok,the hotel...

Liked: The location was great, not far from Waverley Station and short walk to the castle and old town.
Disliked: The bed was small, the bathroom had mould around the walls, ceiling and bath, the bath leaked onto the floor from both ends, which added to the moisture in the room. Staff were notified of the mould which was removed from around the ceiling but not from around the bath. The breakfast was from a nearby restaurant which lacked choice and any extras eg, tea, coffee, extra sausage, bacon etc had to be paid for.

Liked: The location is very central. Edinburgh was very chilly when we arrived, but they put heaters in the room and it was very cosy and warm. Bathroom was clean and equipped with latest facilities. They even installed a blow drier to the room; if I only knew I would not carry mine with me :) The layout of the room was also nice providing both comfort and privacy to a family of 3.
Disliked: Nothing basically. The staff was very helpful, the room was clean and cosy. What else do we need really..?

Disliked: Way overpriced. Not a very nice hotel. No breakfast on property. $750 a night and no breakfast and an old hard bed.

Liked: Modern boutique style hotel, clean, close to town, city, castle, landmarks and oasis store!
Disliked: Bonus of being at the back as well as very busy traffics with oasis and fringe festival being on, however if you want the window open at night for some air, other people have their windows open and noise travels through the back ginnel until they decide to go to sleep, first night was a little late

Pleasant

Liked: The room was impeccably clean, with a nice bathroom, super clean.
Disliked: Breakfast was a joke, you got a voucher for a place and you could choose only one course and then only filter coffee or tea, everything was extra to pay. The plate was good, but I was left with hunger. To be a 4 star hotel I was expecting a buffet or a great big breakfast, not just a restriction. I got way more for way less in other places.

Disliked: Billed as a 4 star, we thought 3 star more accurate. Plastic glasses by bedside, water machine down the hall, breakfast not included. Room outlook facing a building only a few feet away. No hotel facilities on site, had to go across the road for bar & breakfast.
