The Spotlight on Franklin Terrace Bed and Breakfast

Charming and Cozy Stay in the Heart of Franklin

A warm, home-style experience awaits at Franklin Terrace Bed and Breakfast, a quaint and welcoming inn nestled in the scenic town of Franklin, NC. Located just minutes from local music venues and surrounded by mountain views, this historic B&B combines Southern charm with thoughtful amenities—free Wi-Fi, daily room service, and a hearty breakfast—all designed to make your concert weekend both relaxing and memorable.

Why Concert-goers love it

This spot is a favorite for music fans looking to unwind after a night out. It's close enough to reach regional venues like Harrah's Casino and the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad with ease, but far enough to enjoy a quiet night’s sleep. With free on-site parking, a fitness room for morning energy boosts, and a peaceful vibe throughout, it’s ideal for those not looking to party until dawn. Flexible check-in at 2 PM means you can arrive before your show, and while check-out is on the earlier side at 10 AM, it encourages a refreshing start to your day.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends who want a chill base with plenty of space and common areas
  • Solo travelers catching a once-in-a-lifetime show
  • Couples turning a concert into a romantic mountain escape
  • Fans needing quiet recovery after a loud night out
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who still want charm and comfort

Food and Drink Options

While there’s no on-site restaurant open late, the B&B serves a delicious à la carte or full English/Irish breakfast—a major plus after a late night. The property also features barbecue facilities if you're up for grilling with friends. Nearby, downtown Franklin offers several casual dining options within a short drive or walk.

Nightlife Options

Although the inn itself keeps things quiet, you’re not far from local bars and live music spots in downtown Franklin. Many guests enjoy hitting a show and then retreating to the peaceful porch or terrace to wind down. It’s not a party hub, but that’s part of the charm.

What People Say

Reviews consistently praise the friendly staff, clean and cozy rooms, and the homemade breakfasts that provide the perfect start to the day. Guests love the historic character of the building and the quiet surroundings, especially after a night of music and fun.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests mention that the 10 AM check-out feels a bit early, especially after a late concert. Also, while the Wi-Fi is free, signal strength may vary depending on your room. No big nightlife on-site, but that’s intentional—it’s a place to recharge.

The Bottom Line

For concert-goers seeking comfort, peace, and a touch of Southern hospitality, Franklin Terrace Bed and Breakfast is a relaxing and affordable base in the mountains.

Bad stay. Never coming back.

Very good

Liked: This was a pleasant bnb. We stayed in a king bedroom and the bed was super comfortable. The breakfast was home made and delicious. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. We enjoyed chatting with the other guests. It was a quiet area of town and within walking distance to downtown.
Disliked: The only thing was, there wasn't an elevator to go the upstairs bedrooms.

Lots of character lacks cleanliness,...

Liked: The property has lots of charm and history behind it. It was conveniently placed in Franklin which was walkable to the town.
Disliked: The owner lacked charisma but was helpful. The lady who cooked breakfast in the morning managed three words to us and was very antisocial made us feel quite uncomfortable. They were cobwebs on the ceiling and the sealant around the shower all needs replacing. It’s black and mouldy. The loo didn’t flush particularly well. The outside sitting area was dusty and covered in leaves was not very inviting. The extension lead for the television plug was cracked as seen in photo The hairdryer was out of the 70s
