Francis Marion Hotel

Very quaint and within walking distance to Charleston Music Hall and restaurants. Staff was excellent.

Disliked: Small room.

The location is great - close to shopping, theaters, and great restaurants. It's a beautiful hotel and the staff could not be more friendly. I would recommend you go to one of the surrounding restaurants for a nice dinner rather than the one in the hotel but, other than that, this is a great place to stay while in Charleston.

Liked: It's beautiful and the view from our room was perfect.
Disliked: The restaurant food at the Swamp Fox was so so, but the waitress was great. The bathroom is really tiny, but it's an old hotel and I would rather they kept close to the old decor than wreck the rooms by modernizing them.

Great location for walking King Street shops. Great having a Starbucks in the building. Parking was convenient ( Charleston Parking Garage ) and was easy to locate.

Liked: The location was wonderful. We could walk to the historic downtown very easily. The hotel was clean and the staff were helpful and courteous. We also used the valet services multiple times as we ventured out into the surrounding area. They were quick and helpful.

Liked: Classic Charleston feel, beautiful decor, and finishes to the lobby, common areas.
Disliked: Enjoyed it all. Maybe more room to park/unload at the bell stand.
