Very quaint and within walking distance to Charleston Music Hall and restaurants. Staff was excellent.

The location is great - close to shopping, theaters, and great restaurants. It's a beautiful hotel and the staff could not be more friendly. I would recommend you go to one of the surrounding restaurants for a nice dinner rather than the one in the hotel but, other than that, this is a great place to stay while in Charleston.

Liked: It's beautiful and the view from our room was perfect.
Disliked: The restaurant food at the Swamp Fox was so so, but the waitress was great. The bathroom is really tiny, but it's an old hotel and I would rather they kept close to the old decor than wreck the rooms by modernizing them.

Great location for walking King Street shops. Great having a Starbucks in the building. Parking was convenient ( Charleston Parking Garage ) and was easy to locate.

Liked: Small but a very nice, clean, updated room. Helpful staff.

Disliked: Only thing we did not like was the extremely small bathroom and bathroom door that did not have the ability to close. The entire latch mechanism was missing.

Liked: The room was large and very comfortable; the staff friendly and helpful; the location outstanding. We especially enjoyed the meals in the Swamp Fox Restaurant.

Liked: The lobby was elegant and our room was spacious and comfortable. Our room was clean. All of the staff was friendly, accommodating, kind and helpful. We went to the bar and the ladies wanted hot tea. They were given hot tea in tea pots. Lovely
Disliked: The cinnamon cookies in the lobby ran out and I missed them. The temperature inside the hotel was freezing cold.
