Francis Hotel Bath

Very pleased with the attitude...

Lovely hotel

Liked: My second stay at this hotel and I recommended it to American friends as I knew the close proximity to the areas we were visiting. Lovely bed and rooms as before.
Disliked: Sadly there were renovations happening which was not a problem as it only affected the lift on our bedroom floor. We had to get out the floor below and walk up or down a level. On the last day we were unaware the lift had been boarded off on the level below also so had to use the stairs all the way. Not too much of a problem for the rest of the group but one person had had knee and hip surgery so it was difficult for her. I had informed the hotel we needed an accessible room which was provided but just difficult to access via stairs! I would still stay at this hotel again next time I am in Bath.

Very good

Liked: Location, Reception staff (really good, warm welcome and smooth check out), the room, complementary drinks in room, bed, bathroom decor all great. Ongoing building works were very well managed and discrete. Everything was lovely, until breakfast time.
Disliked: Breakfast. Overpriced for the service experienced. Cooked food to order process doesn't work, too slow. Not enough staff and insufficient attention to detail - like not clearing table, no offer of top up of coffee, nobody to ask for help when needed (e,g. To order poached eggs or ask for a cereal bowl as none were out).

Fabulous, luxury hotel

Liked: Such a beautiful hotel in a great location and all the staff were fabulous. The restaurant is stunning. Our room was brand new and decorated beautifully. Ongoing renovations did not affect our stay in any way. Would highly recommend the Francis Hotel and would certainly stay there again in the future.

Superb

Fantastic locations and room are...

Liked: The location was perfect for us and the twin room everything we needed.
Disliked: There are renovations going on and so some doors sealed up etc. Also scaffolding outside. However this didn’t affect our stay.

Exceptional

Liked: It was an absolutely lovely classy hotel, even though it was in the middle of a refurbishment it was still fabulous. All staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The little extras in the room were very welcome especially the fresh milk. Room was very modern, bed was heavenly and for the first time in a long time the pillows were magical.
Disliked: Nothing

Beautiful rooms and comfiest bed.

Liked: The new rooms are absolutely stunning. The bed is one of the comfiest beds I have her slept in. We had a wonderful stay.
