Good location appalling reception staff...

Disliked: Staff at reception- terrible, unhelpful and uninterested. Bar staff better. I’ll not return to your hotel due to the staff. Travelling from Italy to get uninterested shrugs when parking became very difficult.. there job is hospitality, to aid your customers not shrug and tell them to go find some back streets to park in - in a city that’s totally unfamiliar and street signs that a foreign tourist can’t interpret. I’ll spend my money elsewhere

Hotel fine staff - terrible...

Liked: Modern clean - good breakfast. Decent location to reach the centre
Disliked: The staff - largely surly and unhelpful, we arrived from Italy no parking available which is an issue but ok they don’t allow you to book it and we got there late due to a breakdown. But the reception staff were totally uninterested showed me a map - which I tried no parking available- that’s it, I was told to look around the backstreets .. explained I’ve no idea what back street they meant to which they shrugged and continued their conversation with one of them virtually laying their head on the counter. My son in law booked two room they gave him one key - he then checked his reservation - said he booked two room and the desk staff member said “I know” and handed him a second key. Frankly the Wyndham needs to think about the quality of their staff as they’ve lost our business. I should qualify that the barmen was good and helpful. I’d look elsewhere in future- there’s plenty of choice.. nb: this was my and my wife’s second visit - first time the staff were better.

Liked: Beds were fabulously comfortable and cleanliness was incredible. Underground car park was really convenient.
Disliked: This may be a British thing but super basic facilities a bed and a shower with nothing and I mean nothing else. No facility to make a drink in your room. Breakfast was great. It’s a good hike to the old town but worth the walk.

Liked: Lovely place, but quite a walk to the centre and not a scenic walk. However, excellent buses.
