Economical way to spend a...

Liked: Small motel, easy to find. Clean large room. They're remodeling. Nice staff. Surprised how quiet it was since the highway is right there.
Disliked: 2 Narrow steps from parking lot up to the walkway in front of rooms. No rail.

Liked: Location, location, locationPerched above Hwy 101 on the inland side, J could see across the parking area to the ocean Restaurants and activities were all within 1/2 mileI liked the generous size of a front room facing west, it had a living room area with a couch and a TV, then a bedroom area with another GV, then the bathroom The room was clean, abd the bed was comfortable
Disliked: Minor issues due to renovationBut Tony at the front desk told me about them ahead of time, and offered to let me stay at a sister property in NewportI’m glad I stayed

Disappointing

Liked: The front office staff who checked us in was amazing. We liked the proximity to the ocean.
Disliked: The room while comfortable could use an update, the toilet could use some TLC, the lid wouldn't stay up & it doesn't seem to be securely attached to the floor.

You get what you pay...

Liked: Location is awesome. Honestly, the only reason to stay there, other than the price.
Disliked: Like many cheap motels, there was a lot of late night noise. Random drunk/high guys blustering, loudly knocking on doors & looking to fight.

We didn't stay because it...

Liked: They refunded my money, and I didn't have to stay in that filthy place. The front desk lady we dealt with was very apologetic.
Disliked: It was disgustingly filthy. The first room they put us in hadn't been cleaned--the floor, the countertops, the top of the microwave were covered in chunky dirt and debris. Then, the front desk lady let us look at a different room, which was also dirty. There was pet hair and ... stains? ... all over the bed spread, all over the couch, the walls. It was not a place I could stay, and certainly not a place I'd pay money to stay.

Poor

Liked: When I got there they did not have the room I booed available. They said they could cancel the booking and give me a different room. So we did that. They did not use booking and charged me directly. I see booking is still trying to change so I will dispute the charge.
Disliked: Sink was plugged spiders in the room door did not seem secure.

We will not recommend. Smelled...

Liked: The separation of the room was nice.
Disliked: The room heater was unable to turn off and the vent burnt my daughter’s leg. It was also sooo hot that we were not able to sleep well. It also smelt like pot and wet dog. It was not a good experience. But it was a place for us to sleep.
