Liked: Close to the seafront
Disliked: The room was dated and dirty. The fan was covered in fluff and the duvets had stains on them . The beds were also uncomfortable

All issues were minor, just...

Liked: Room size, location, great selection for breakfast and helpful and friendly staff.
Disliked: Cleanliness and maintenance issues with the room, limited parking, the dining room was overly hot and the fried eggs at breakfast were overcooked every morning.

Exceptional

Liked: convenient location, comfortable, clean, friendly staff, excellent breakfast
Disliked: fan in en-suite was noisy

Liked: Location was great, breakfast was lovely and the room was clean and spacious
Disliked: We stayed in room 26 which has a green emergency lighting light directly above the head of the bed. It was fine for me but my husband, who sleeps on his back, hardly got any sleep

Old school hotel charm.

Liked: This hotel scores highly in the important aspects of any away-from-home stay (to me anyway!); superb location, comfortable beds and a great shower. The room itself was also clean and the cooked breakfast was superb - as were the staff running the joint. I booked a double room last minute and was given a very good deal compared to other hotel rates in the area. Recommended.
Disliked: Previous occupant(s) had obviously smoked in the room - I’m ok with this but others won’t be. The hotel is old and could do with a lick of paint in places - personally, I think the decor adds to its charm and gives it far more ‘character’ over the Premier Inns and the like of this world. Some however, may be expecting more frills….
