Superb

Loved it. Location is great....

Liked: Staff service from check in, concierge assistance, housekeeping and on departure. Nothing was too much drama. At Grain, the fantastic cocktail making and knowledge of the bar staff. Listening and watching them was an experience. The pillows - would love to know what type and where to purchase new.
Disliked: Club sandwich from room service. Pretty poor. Stale dry crust used.

Pleasant

Liked: The room was nice, view was pretty good too. It was classed as a city view room but we could see the opera house still.
Disliked: I’m 25 but the layout and technicality of this room really confused me. There was no clear guide to the room or services available. I also had to clarify multiple times to housekeeping NOT to be disturbed even after pressing the button to make it clear. We got woken up at 9am on a Sunday morning to the door bell ringing and someone entering our room as we were still in bed. I was mortified, she then continued to question why we wouldn’t be leaving the room anytime soon and couldn’t understand why we didn’t need housekeeping for our short stay. I then received SEVERAL extensive messages from management, one stating that guests are advised to put preferences in upon check in. However none of that was said when we did. Maybe if there was a clear guide in the room, this wouldn’t of happened. It took me ages just to find the do not disturb button. I felt incredibly gaslit and frustrated I was getting bombarded by multiple, unnecessary messages during my stay.I finally got the message across that people shouldn’t have to clarify that they don’t want their privacy violated while they’re vulnerable, and that check in policy should always contain housekeeping preferences. This was an incredibly triggering experience for me.
