Four Points By Sheraton Halifax

Around 8:30am, crashing and banging started on the other side of our room. This continued for about 40mins... and then a knock at the door from housekeeping to clean the room. The housekeeping utility room was right beside our room. Two issues: 1. if the utility room is required where it is, every effort should be made to limit the noise. Guests are expected to limit their noise.... 2. considering we were only staying 1 night, why would housekeeping be attempting to clean a room that hasn't been vacated yet with check-out at noon? Inefficient use of resources. Lastly, shower had peeling paint and the tap came off in my hand. vThankfully, I could put it back on to turn off the water.

Liked: Front desk employees were friendly and approachable.
Disliked: Starting around 6am, music woke us from the neighbouring room. Due to it becoming louder, around 7:30am, I called the front desk and they sent someone up and the music was lowered. All good, so I thought. Around 8:30am, crashing and banging started on the other side of our room. This continued for about 40 minutes and then a knock at the door from housekeeping to clean the room. Found out that the housekeeping utility room was right beside our room. So, I should have drove the 4 hours home with my daughter and been home by 2am and had a great sleep (still getting up by 8:30am when housekeeping starting banging).

Convenient but noisy inside.

Liked: Great location and clean.
Disliked: On our second stay our room was very noisy. Not from outside noise, but instead from the ventilation system. The sound level from the vents (not the air conditioner) exceeded 42dB, which is well above desired sleep levels.

Liked: Great location. Can walk over to Harbour.
Disliked: Parking is a bit confusing. Wish info on parking was shared before check in as there are many one way streets so if you miss the parking have to drive around.

This hotel is great place...

Liked: Friendly, welcoming staff at desk. Great location for our sightseeing adventures in the city and along the waterfront.
Disliked: Our room was at street level so unable to open the curtains to let light in. Quite noisy with street noise and trucks all night. Rooms on the second and third floors should be of much lower value than those above!

Disliked: Downtown construction near the hotel...very loud and noisy and unfortunately early in the morning...like starting at 6 a.m.
