DIRTY ROOM TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
Liked: Room was uncleaned and no other room available. Had to take the family elsewhere at 1am.
Disliked: Worst customer service. Terrible response and solution given was a room with one bed and an air mattress.

Don’t expect a good experience...
Liked: The hotel is in a park so it is a beautiful setting.
Disliked: The honeymoon suite sounds like it would be a great stay but we were right by the elevator (noisy). The room could have been cleaner and stocked with more towels (jacuzzi tub). The kicker had to be a toilet that rocked and ran water every 10-15 minutes plus a shower that you couldn’t turn on the cold water. So no shower for the couple on their honeymoon. The staff were told but indifferent. Tried on multiple occasions to get a call back from the manager about the stay but that didn’t work either. Definitely a disappointment and over priced.

Early 20th century class with...
Liked: The Fort Harrison Inn was originally the hospital for the base in 1906 and is located in a beautiful safe neighborhood plus you get a free park pass.It was well worth going off the interstate 10 minutes to enjoy such a unique place.
Disliked: The Fort’s restaurant is no longer open.

Don’t
Liked: The four poster rice planters bed and having a jacuzzi.
Disliked: Just about everything else. This used to be a lovely place but it is terribly run down and costly. No maid service, couldn’t get clean towels, broken window blinds and faucets that constantly leaked. A Keurig but no coffee. Rooms not cleaned by the advertised check in time. The breakfast is abysmal. Some fried apples, a couple of sausage patties, broken waffle machine and cereal so stale it was inedible. Went down in the morning of our last days to get clean towels and had to wake the desk agent up. I asked if she was ok and she said she was tired and didn’t do mornings. Asked for towels and never got them. A couple was in front of us checking in asking to move rooms because their sheets were filthy. They told them they could move them to the honeymoon suite but they could only stay one night before they had to move. They asked if housekeeping could just go up and clean the room then. They were told housekeeping was gone for the day…At 4:45 pm. They were given sheets and told to make their own bed.

My mom and I both...
Liked: The rooms are large and well appointed. The building and floors are handicap accessible. The free breakfast included hot food, so it was great. The dining area was cozy. There were historical artifacts throughout the building to add interest and info, including a history library. Upon touring the inn, it was clear that this would be a great venue for a conference or wedding. The location was ideal, within 20 minutes of downtown Indy, but with nature trails, scenery and no lights/noise to disrupt sleep. There's also a cute ice cream shop across the street and several restaurants and stores along the main road. We especially recommend the Indy Zoo as a side trip, with a stop at Shapiro's deli and cafeteria for lunch or dinner (you will not leave hungry).
Disliked: Honestly, I can't think of anything that would be needed to make it a better experience.

Comfy Hidden Historic Stay
Liked: The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was extraordinary (had a multi jetted shower and tile all around). Keurig in the room along with a microwave and mini fridge. Historic building with lots of character.
Disliked: Some slight stains on the carpet. Low quality TV, but it does function.
