Has a lot of potential...
Liked: The location, the staff was very friendly, the breakfast was good, the decor was very pretty. The grounds were beautiful and the views were nice. The bed and bathroom were comfortable, if a little outdated.
Disliked: The hotel was very dirty. We moved one of our nightstands out from the wall to plug in our charging cord and there was a heavy build up of dust and an old candy wrapper behind the nightstand! The sweeping staircase down to the lobby was gorgeous but absolutely covered in dirt and chunks of dried mud. The hotel was also VERY noisy. We may have been over the kitchen but all night long there was loud machinery sounds. Then, at about 3:45am, an individual started pushing a catering-type cart down our hallway (we were on the second floor). I honestly thought I was hearing raccoons getting into the dumpster outside or something. It sounded like someone had thrown a bunch of crockery into a concrete mixer and turned it on. The sound kept building and building and finally I got up and looked out the peep hole in our door. There was a young woman pushing the cart down our hallway. I don't know where she had to get the cart out of, or why it was so loud. I can't imagine that she didn't wake up the entire floor of guests as she pushed slowly and noisily down the hallway. Before 4am.

This was a lovely property...
Liked: The room was large and well-equipped, with comfortable beds. The toiletry products were very nice, and the shower was strong and as hot as I wanted. The location was excellent, close to the Granite Dells and a short drive to the historic downtown. Breakfast had many choices and good coffee!
Disliked: Our only issue was that for some reason on,y one of the beds was made each day, when both had been slept in. We mentioned this to the front desk, and I’m sure it was addressed.

Definitely going back!
Liked: The complimentary coffee bar and breakfast buffet was a big deal for us considering we had two children. The older lady who seemed to have worked the kitchen area was so understanding and nice with accidents occurring (on our behalf) we really appreciated her. All front desk employees were great with hospitality, provided great customer service and was very informative. A couple employees recommended some really good places for us to take the kids to and this is really what made our trip complete!
Disliked: I do not know of the housekeeping policy, but assuming housekeeping was supposed to come on a daily basis, they did not come one day out of the four days we stayed (not too much of a big deal). Something that really disappointed me was that I found old chewed up gum stuck to the bedside lamp shade (but considering how understanding we are, this also was not a big deal to us). We’ll definitely be coming back!

Disappointing
Liked: The staff was very courteous and polite,
Disliked: The general manager, booked dates were check in February 4th, check out February 7th, however there was a bad storm forecast for February 6th starting around 2pm so we requested the hotel to allow us to check out on February 6th instead of the 7th, we asked the gentleman at the front desk and he said it shouldn't be an issue, just call booking.com and if they agreed it wouldn't be an issue, called booking.com and explained the situation, they understood and said they would send an email to the facility stating it was ok on their end, when we asked the front desk, they said they would inform the general manager who wasn't in, when we returned from our outing we were inform that the general manager said no that Forrest Villas wouldn't allow check out on February 6th, they would charge for the 7th if we left on the 6th. On the 6th I spoke with booking.com again and explained my situation, and again they understood and resent the email, that Forrest Villas stated they didn't get, booking.com confirmed that they did indeed send the first email. The general manager still said Forrest Villas wouldn't remove February 7th check out, we continued talking with booking.com and later that day, February 6th, the staff informed us Forrest Villas would allow us to check out on the 6th, we barely made it out before the storm, the general manager never even spoke to us regarding this issue, not good or professional, we've always stayed at this facility when in Prescott, not any more, when they have a new manager, we'll consider it. Lack of compassion for hotel guests is a very poor trait. Thanks booking.com, we will continue to use your site, your staff was exceptional.
