Had a brilliant time; all the staff were cheerful and helpful - a real credit to the hotel. The breakfast was fabulous - great choice available and the restaurant food also lovely.

Liked: The Staff were very nice and helpful. The room was good. The range of food on offer at Breakfast was very good.
Disliked: The Evening meal was terrible. had to send the starter back because part of it was warm and the rest cold. As it was Chicken wings its alarming that it was not hot. When they brought them back they still were not that hot so didn't really eat them. main course was not much better, ribs just about edible but still not hot.. this was the same with my guests as well, so very unimpressed. A Good Hotel needs a good or at least competent Chef.

Disappointing

Liked: Comfortable bed, large room, staff were lovely
Disliked: Hotel definitely in need of tlc. Damaged bed frame, walls needing paint, looking very tired. Food was very expensive if you hadn't paid for the DB&B deal, £35 for a carvery with just a choice of two meats, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, green beans and curly kale.No jam or marmalade at breakfast. The swimming pool is too shallow, only 1.2 metres with a very brief 1.5m in the centre of the pool.For the money, we were very disappointed. We've stayed in much better accommodation for far less money.
