A very pleasant stay
Liked: Due to Covid 19 we were restricted but the hotel did an excellent job in maintaining a covid free environment. Breakfast was good . The pool was lovely and clean.
Disliked: We didn't realise that a service charge was put on the bill. We left a tip on the table for the waiting staff so we paid twice

Huge disappointment
Liked: Very little
Disliked: The way they dealt with COVID was disappointing - we have stayed in other hotels that have dealt with the new regulations in a much better way. They had no space for us for dinner or breakfast. We were finally offered 2 tables for dinner (3 adults and 2 kids) which they were able to move together - which was puzzling as the restaurant was almost empty as to why we couldn?t get one in the first place. We were never able to have breakfast at the hotel - the only slot they could offer was at 10:45, and given the kids get up at 6 and eat lunch at 11:30 this wasn?t suitable.Apparently we had to call a week in advance to book our meals but we never knew this. They had called us once but we weren?t able to take the call and they never called back. The pool was basically unusuable. We were told at check in that we can book the pool from 7am the next day but weren?t informed that unless we called at 7am exactly then all slots would be taken. We went to reception at 7:40 and it was entirely booked out. Again frustrating as we booked this hotel because of the pool. The phone in the room didn?t work anyway, you couldn?t dial out.The room wasn?t massively clean. We wiped the bathroom floor to clean up a spill and our wipes came up black. If the hotel is so ?Covid safe? then I would have expected their cleaning to be at a higher level. The one way system set up around the hotel was also ridiculous. I understand the need for a one way system but there is one stairway which goes up to the wing of rooms we were staying in, which you can see from the bottom if it?s clear. No one was around and my wife was dashing up to get something from the room and was called out by one of the staff and forced to walk the entire way around the rest of the hotel to get to our room when no one was on the stairs anyway - what?s the point?

A welcoming hotel and staff...
Liked: The room was nice and quiet. It was clean and had a very comfy bed. Covid restrictions worked hard to make it flow, which worked well.
Disliked: The menu had odd choices and was limited to one vegan dish, which was ok if you liked cabbage and no vegetarian dish.

Great location and staff.
Liked: Staff were very welcoming. Hotel was clean and well organised.
Disliked: Not being able to book pool until 7am on the day and 1st bedroom bed was very uncomfortable but staff were great when I asked to change rooms.

Pleasant
Liked: Pet friendly
Disliked: We booked the hotel for the pool but wasn't able to use it during our stay because of the limited booking system under the new Covid rules. It would have been helpful to know this in advance and we would have stayed elsewhere instead of paying the premium for the pool and not getting to use it. Guy at reception was unhelpful. Bed was not comfortable
