Private, beautiful and I would...

Liked: Clean, good amenities, lovely location, private. A double edged sword for this one - hot tub was very clean and not hugely chlorinated - most likely due to them cleaning it so regularly.
Disliked: The hot tub was still cold when we checked in because it’s emptied and cleaned thoroughly, but it meant we couldn’t use it until 10pm at night, then you aren’t allowed to use it on the morning you leave because it’s emptied and cleaned for the next person early. It meant that we only got to use it for a short time and very late at night. As I said though, double edge sword as it was great as it was so clean but didn’t get that much use as was at a wedding during the day.

Liked: Location and hot tub
Disliked: No robes. No mat at door so floor got soaking after heavy rain and hot tub. Minimal towels for showering and hot tub. Asked for more but told it would be an extra charge. Hob didn’t work.

Very good

Liked: The surroundings are beautiful and the bankside lodge is comfortable and fully equipped with everything you need.
Disliked: I feel like the 4pm check in is too late especially when the check out is 10am. If you go for a 2 night stay you are technically only getting 1.5 days instead of 2. Also the lodge I stayed in did not have an oven.....i ended up buying an air fryer the next day so we could cook nibbles. That's the only 2 negatives I have.

Liked: Large property that could easily accommodate 6 adults, very quiet location with views over fishing ponds. We were in Glen Finlet lodge located approximately 100M from the bar and restaurant.
Disliked: Hot tub cover lifting bar missing, lake view obscured by trees, some trimming required. Service in bar and restaurant a bit disorganised.

Reading amazing boathouse.

Liked: Beautiful scenery and nice walks,excellent golf course.
Disliked: Shower wasn’t attached to wall in bathroom

Peaceful but not for small...

Liked: It’s a beautiful setting which was also peaceful
Disliked: I booked the dog friendly small lodge but my husband had to take the dogs home as they would’ve managed to escape under the fence. It was such a shame as the reason I booked it was it stated it was dog friendly. Please look at even putting some netting or similar as not all dogs are large.
