Very poor upkeep of Forbes...

Liked: The space in side was great
Disliked: There was no view of the water due to extreme over growth of trees and shrubs. So when sitting on the balcony you just look into trees. Which brought a lot of insects/flys/wasps into the lodge. The nettles were right up to the hot tub. We had our dogs with us and they could not go out in the gardens .The ground around the hot tub was needs looked at. It’s muddy and you take anything that has dropped from the trees into the tub making it disgusting to sit in. The cobwebs around the house/balcony’s have not been cleaned in a long time. You could not use one of the balcony’s due to this.

Glen Shee

Liked: We stayed in Glen Shee..loved the house, view from the balcony, the wildlife, fish that jumped into the air in the ponds, the swans with the 6 cygnets, beautiful walks, My son, and his brother celebrated his birthday on the golf course, then they played again the next day. The restaurant served stunning, delicious food, and it was great that our dog could sit with us on open decking overlooking the lake. Very hard to leave there this morning after such a lovely relaxing 3 night stay. Thank you to all the amazing friendly, helpful staff...oh and the fresh sourdough bread, salted butter and Isle of Arran cheese your shop provided... fabulous xx
Disliked: The toilet flusher button in the main bathroom is a bit difficult to push.The main light is flickering in 2nd twin bedroom, just used beside light.

We had a lovely stay,...

Liked: Great size of property. Clean inside. Lovely views of surrounding area. Lovely walks in the area, and staff were all friendly and helpful.
Disliked: Entrance hallway a bit tired looking, older appliances (dishwasher/washing machine). Outside area of lodge a bit grubby looking.

Liked: Staff are great helpful and area around is beautiful
Disliked: The lodge was amazing but could do with a little bit of a paint and refurbished in parts
