Okay, lovely location and facilities....

Liked: Location
Disliked: Toilet in one bathroom didn?t flush. In other bathroom, shower was a dribble of water. Light bulbs missing. Fridge freezer made a terrible noise wakening us up through the night. Stair carpet not very clean.

Was pleasant

Liked: I liked the view we had, when the fishers left. I enjoyed the bath until I put the jets on and lime scale came out (I gather it?s not been used in a while) I like how we were able to take food back to the room.
Disliked: Didn?t like the lack of cleanliness in the kitchen where the cooker and boiler was. Didn?t like how the bath produced lime scale when switched on, it was like it was sitting for ages. Didn?t like how it was my honeymoon and my special request wasn?t met. Didn?t like the late fishermen and early fishermen right outside the bedroom window, couldn?t have my coffee in my dressing gown in peace. I didn?t like my burger, tasted like it was cooked in an ashtray. Breakfast being offered would have been lovely. Aware we were self catering but the option of breakfast would have been nice.

Relaxing and enjoyed the tranquil...

Liked: We enjoyed the peace and quiet, walking the grounds and generally relaxing in the calm environment
Disliked: Missed the hot tub, did not like being next to the ticket shop too much noise early morning, staff and guest all talking over themselves. Having to have the bedroom curtains closed for privacy all of the time with everyone always looking in whilst outside the cabin/ lodge.

6 night stay

Liked: Property was exceptional. It was spotless clean and had everything we could ask for. Beds were comfy and toiletries were Scottish fine soap Sea Kelp hand wash, hair and body shampoo and conditioner. They also had hand sanitiser. Towels were provided. The lodge was very warm ... which is what you want at this time of year! It is Scotland after all he he. We were lucky that we got 5 days of sunny, dry weather and enjoyed both balconies. The views were beautiful and the surroundings very tranquil. The staff on site were helpful and very pleasant to deal with. We had dinner at the restaurant and the food was fabulous. Highly recommend a visit and the prices were very reasonable. We went on the Saturday night and had 2 starters ( have the poached egg wrapped in oats, haggis and hollandaise sauce) it was delicious! Steak and ale pie, 8 oz rump steak with all the trimmings and 1 sticky toffee pudding for under 39! The walks round the resort are lovely and our dog loved them. We used the driving range and the putting green. The price for these were very reasonable. We would definitely go back, already looking at dates for next year!
Disliked: Nothing

Lovely romantic break

Liked: Spacious lodge, very clean. Excellent facilities and great location
Disliked: Showers did not have enough pressure - had to have baths during our stay. Not an issue for us but could have been for others.

Pleasant

Liked: The lodge itself was lovely better than we expected. Very clean and well presented. Had everything you needed. Staff were very helpful and polite. Especially the guy in the fishing shop he was very helpful and chatty.
Disliked: There wasn't much for kids to do. If it wasn't for the beach a 10/15 minute drive away the kids would have been totally bored. I'm glad we brought games to play at night. There was a small park like a minute away from our lodge which could be alot better. There's Putting which I don't think is for kids maybe something like crazy golf would have been better. Fishing if your kids are into that then good and very cheap because you get discount if you are staying but my kids got bored after 1 hour. Also lodge had electric heating which we didn't like as it's a dry heat. Could be doing with updating.
