Liked: Pretty much everything
Disliked: It isn’t something we didn’t like, it is more an improvement you could make. At dinner we ordered potato and leek soup from the vegetarian menu. I have allergies to animal products including all seafood to which the waitstaff were made aware. When the soup was served it was served with caviar in it. Luckily my partner was able to detect the presence of the caviar. This was not the staff’s fault, the problem arose from this item being on both menus. It would be good for you to clearly separate items on the vegetarian menu from those on the standard menu. This way this situation could not arise in the future.

Enjoyed our stay . Hotel...
Liked: Food very good and friendly staff. Spa facilities good
Disliked: Our room was spacious enough.Bathroom was very small. Carpet was very tired and worn and stained by the bathroom door. Storage and wardrobe facility poor.

Stunning Hotel
Liked: Fonab Castle is one of the most comfortable and pristinely presented hotels we have ever stayed. With breathtaking views from the restaurant and hotel lodges which are luxuriously decorated and furnished you won’t be disappointed. Spa treatment and staff are amazing the best you will find
Disliked: Whilst I couldnt commend both the hotel reception and concierge staff more highly across all of our 4 stays this last visit we were very disappointed with the attitude we received from the restaurant manager on Sunday evening past. We arrived tired having been up from 4am and having rested for a short period we didn’t feel like a full dinner meal so we asked the reception staff if there was somewhere we could get a coffee and a dessert or a light meal for my husband. The door man kindly took us to the restaurant where the manager who didn’t even look up or speak to us just pulled a face and cheekily said fully booked. The same person also had us stand the next morning to be seated for breakfast for 10 plus minutes ignoring we were there whilst taking other guests in front of us. Very hurt from a hotel we think so much of and love to visit.
