It was ok for one...

Liked: The price and location were very good, The room was a good size and clean. The breakfast was good and better than expected. The hotel staff were friendly.
Disliked: The room was clean but tired. The pool was closed and the door to our room did not look secure, however at no point did we have a problem with our safety. I asked at the desk for a recommendation of where to eat for dinner which they provided however, it did not fit what we were looking for (they recommended Dr. Limon). I think the food was Cuban and the menu included a lot of raw fish options. We choose the only item on the menu that we thought was filling enough and somewhat familiar; it was good. However, the menu was not clear and the restaurant staff seemed to be trying to up sell us on food and drinks that were already expensive. We were surprised by the final bill and discussed it with the server. It was very high for what we ate and drank; 2 main courses and 2 lemonades were $50.00.
