Liked: - The surroundings and the valley are a really nice green environment- During the Nijmegen Summer Festival (Vierdaagse), this hotel is just close enough for a taxi to still be affordable- They have their own parkinglot
Disliked: - Breakfast is not made with love. In earlier stays we had already learned not to have breakfast in the main buffet hall. For an added €5,- they will bring breakfast to your room which is really much better. However, the breakfast itself is hit or miss and many things aren't really fresh or missing. Some food items have been out for too long, prepared too long in advance or just not of the best quality.- There is no AC. If you come here in summer and are used (or come from a country where it is common) to have AC, you might want to go elsewhere. Some mini-ventilators were available at reception, but of course that doesn't even resemble a proper AC. For us, it was just OK for two nights.- The beds will break your back, they are too old and soft. They only have twin-rooms, so watch out not to fall in the crack between the two beds if you shove them together. - They don't have enough staff, which makes everything take unnecessarily long. The actually available staff becomes (understandingly) easily irritated because they don't have the time to deal with the guests and their simple or practical requests.- The building itself is old, the decor is dated or completely not there. For something romantic you best go for a nice walk or go to the city of Nijmegen nearby.

Liked: Excellent location and surroundings, beautiful terrace very close to Beek hiking trails, 5min walk to bus stop.
Disliked: Room was below 4* standard. Outdated, mattress too soft, bath towels too small.
