Flamingo Las Vegas

We supposedly got the upgraded room but I doubt it. It was bare minimum in the room. Not even a coffee pot. It was a disappointment. Will not stay there again.

Liked: Not much.
Disliked: Very impersonal when you check in at a kiosk.

First room was right above jackhammering at 4 am. Concrete saw at 4 am also put my wife into a migraine. Moved us next to a woman who ran up and down the hallway screaming at 2 am. Charged us an additional amount for the second room (it wasn't THAT much better). Next time we'll try Ceasars Palace.

Liked: Location.
Disliked: Noisy room - moved us but still too noisy. Charged us for their room placement.

Bad

Disliked: Extremely noisy room. I booked in March for a stay in August asking a high floor room in order to minimize noise and I got a 11 floor room in the noisiest spot possible. Impossible to sleep, it’s a shame. When asked at reception for help they couldn’t accomodate my request among thousands rooms…again, I booked 5 months early and asked 1 single thing…a minimum of attention towards customers would have avoided that.

We were very upset.

Liked: The self-checking system is convenient. The room is clean.
Disliked: There was NO pillow on the bed, and I had to call three times before room service finally delivered them. Although the self-check-in system was convenient, it did not mention that the hotel has three separate buildings, each requiring a specific elevator to access.

Liked: I liked that the rooms were spacious with access to a fridge. I loved the view of the pools and wildlife area. I liked the value for the price and how easy it was to get around the hotel. Nothing was too far or complicated to get to from anywhere else
Disliked: I didn't like that there was only 1 pool for most guests and that having access to other pools was really expensive. I didn't like that the shower temperatures were finicky and that there weren't any cheaper food options in the hotel.

Not worth it

Liked: The bed and the view of the strip.
Disliked: The express check-in had an over 1 hour wait with a line stretching from the kiosks way way way back down to the shops at the far end of the casino. The casino itself, which you have to walk through to get to the hotel elevators, stank so bad of old cigarettes and body odour that it made me not want to leave my room. Everything was also insanely expensive with almost nothing included, especially the tacked on hidden fees at the end. Not to mention the $40/day valet fee.

Great Time at Flamingo

Liked: Location is its strongest point; opposite from Caesar’s palace. The LINQ, Parisian and Bellagio are within 5-minute walk away.I got the strip view; which is super cool since I could still see Bellagio Fountain from my room.
Disliked: NIL
