Liked: Hotel felt clean, very good pool and changing facilities, spacious bedroom with huge double bed, pleasant and helpful staff. The location was excellent for us as it was near to Rye and had good parking facilities. Evening meal was very good - delicious watercress soup which helped warm us up.
Disliked: Hotel felt a little bland, a little impersonal, the dining area was huge and could have done with more nooks and crannies. It was also extremely cold in there. I had to go back to my room for an extra cardigan and scarf. Breakfast was a little disappointing - there was a good choice on the menu, but no fresh fruit or cereals and the scrambled was rather dry.

Disliked: It didn’t advertise that there were no lifts - I have a bad back and so the stairs were not great for my initial room allocated (plus it had no shower) and so I was reallocated a superior room that had less stairs to climb and had a shower.
