Historical stay.

Liked: Beautiful old building lovingly restored. The breakfast was simple but enjoyable.
Disliked: Lack of staff. Very quiet.

Liked: A quiet oasis that was better than anticipated - big, modern room, beautiful grounds. Photos on this site have unsold it.

Great place for contemplation

Liked: Private, serene setting. Nice place for time out relaxation or a game of pool.Delicious country continental breakfast in conservatory. Warm, comfortable room.
Disliked: Very steep,narrow stairs to loft. Could be difficult if you were unaware. Bathroom tiny in our room, you wouldn't want to be bigger than average or you couldn't access shower/ toilet.Wake to train line.

Very clean, spacious and attractive...

Liked: Very pretty stay, interesting history, spacious rooms, excellent shower, cosy room, very nice gardens, Continental breakfast was above expectations. Would like a longer stay there.
Disliked: The beds were a bit firm and a few trains go by in the night
