Disliked: All night hum from the heating pipes in rm 2 kept me awake. Very poor sound insulation as I could hear guys above talking. Stale smell to rm and I couldnt open the window for fresh air. Felt dated and tired. Short staffed too as lady on reception disappeared to find out about getting us a cream tea but didn't return or phone up with an answer, once I went back to the room, so they lost business as we went out to eat instead!

Disliked: I couldn’t have a room with a bath, but that’s just me. I hate showers.

Liked: Hotel is clean but needs some talc. Room clean and comfortable.
Disliked: Food very disappointing. We had dinner one evening and it didn’t live up to the reviews. Food was ok but not exceptional. No vegetable offered with main course and very small portions. Service not good and requests forgotten. Had to ask twice for a glass of wine. Breakfast service extremely slow on first morning. Waited over 30 minutes for a bowl of runny porridge. Very disappointed to find we had to pay £15 each to use the spa for 90 minutes. We’ve never paid at any other hotel to use the spa, as paying guests. The website is misleading. Guests who had stayed before the new management, told us it used to be amazing.

Unbelievably peaceful.

Liked: Idyllic location and short walk to town. Lovely large rooms with wonderful views. Helpful staff. Were able to leave our car and go exploring after checkout
Disliked: Not enough plug sockets in the room for chargers

Perfect for a break away...

Liked: Beautiful hotel in lovely and quiet setting. Room was very spacious and bed was enormous. All facilities as described and one may need for a short break. Very tasty breakfast, cooked to order. Friendly staff.
Disliked: Everything was great
