Liked: It's a lovely hotel with lots of history, friendly staff with spacious rooms and great facilities including lovely gardens in a central location, breakfast was excellent and the complimentary drink on arrival was an unexpected bonus, the cost is exceptionally good value for money

Disliked: As a traditional hotel some areas are tired and would benefit from redecoration.

Very enjoyable stay

Liked: Our room was lovely, very clean, comfy bed,bathrobes,slippers,complimentary wine,coffee machine view over the garden, nice seating area too. Good shower in bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a mixture of buffet and a la carte options and we enjoyed that. Located in the centre of the town with paid parking available for 5 pounds per night.
Disliked: Only slight niggle was the lack of soundproofing between the rooms.

Liked: Really pleasant welcome. Really spacious, comfortable room.Unusual but most welcome, shelving space for personal items in bathroom.
Disliked: Coffee at breakfast not great quality.Second day breakfast was poor in taste, presentation and quantity. Overall a well run, comfortable hotel in a good location.

Disliked: They advertise a buffet breakfast but that is only for tea, coffee or toast you have to order the rest

Disliked: One of the most dirty Hotels I have ever been in. Had to complain twice before Bathroom was cleaned. Never again...
