Liked: We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. Gorgeous building, lovely room and delicious breakfast. The staff were exceptional too.

Disliked: The toilet in room 204 had some build up (which looked like mould) possibly because it was old.

A classy hotel with first...

Liked: The building and reception rooms are stunning and you really feel part of the history of the hotel when you stay. The staff are charming - the young bartender in particular was exceptional and is a real asset to the hotel - and the breakfast is amazing. From start to finish, we had a lovely stay and can’t wait to return! 5 star all round!

Perfect location and amazing breakfast!

Liked: Great location, amazing breakfast and lovely old building! The decoration in the common areas was lovely and vintage, super cool stay in a hotel with history!
Disliked: The room was a little dated and didn’t match the ‘grandness’ of the outside/common areas.

Good location but limited comfiet

Liked: Well located in the centre of town close to railway station. Welcoming reception staff. Good breakfast buffet.
Disliked: Very small double room with cramped tiny bathroom. No kettle or coffee/ tea making facilities. Noisy slamming doors during the night.

This hotel is amazing!

Liked: This is by far one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in! It's was beautiful, clean, really convenient - with great facilities, restaurant, bar - it even had a little gym that I used. We stayed on two different nights with a night somewhere else in between. The first night we were in a superior room which was so spacious and comfortable but then on the second night they upgraded us to the Grand Suite! I have no idea why but it was pure luxury and the best nights sleep I have ever had. It was also our wedding night (the staff did not know this!) so such an unexpected treat. All of the staff we met were very friendly and helpful. Plus the food - breakfast and we had dinner in their restaurant on the second night - was delicious- we're still talking about the breakfast! I honestly don't know why they don't charge more!
