First Hotel Atlantic

The location is unbeatable….

Liked: Location and view of the Harbor. Generally a good quality hotel with friendly service.
Disliked: No Telefon, no adjustable Air condition, no safe, no minibar, …. in the room. You have to pre-book your breakfast timeslot. Instead of a ramp to parking deck, they put in a car-elevator. Not everyone will be comfortable with this choice, but there is public parking across the road.

Very good

Liked: Breakfast was very good, parking was available, the room was comfortable and the receptionist on our first day was so helpful regarding parking, getting around and suggesting where we could eat. We had a small problem which he sorted out very professionally.
Disliked: Nothing

Amazing location and view but...

Liked: I liked their complimentary drinks, the amazing location just opposite dokk1 and walking distance to the shopping streets as well as an amazing view from our room overlooking the water and city . We were on the 9th floor. They also had good toiletries.
Disliked: The bathroom was tiny and the same size as all the other smaller rooms even though we were in the suite accommodating 4 people. We have stayed in 5 different hotels during our road trip and this has smallest bathroom. The room has a bad smell that you get once you open the door and enter. It smelled of mold or maybe it’s coming from the old dirty carpet? The carpet esp at the entrance was visibly not clean right from the start and our socks picked up all the disgusting dirt. Would definitely reconsider a hotel with carpet in the future. The bathroom also didn’t felt clean. We could see hair and dirt in the corners. Most of the hotels we have been in on our road trip had been impeccable with their cleanliness so i expected the same here.

Superb

Liked: Comfortable, clean room with small balcony. Convenient, secure parking (charges apply) Good hotel in a great location.
Disliked: Small 'wet room' style bathroom. Most of the floor gets wet when using the shower despite the shower curtain.

It would be our first...

Liked: Excellent location for Aarhus centre. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean, comfortable and (at the front) had a good view. Breakfast, although the only meal provided was very good.
Disliked: Breakfast booking is a pain! The on-line system begins by asking how many Vegan or Vegetarian 'buns' you want - as if this is the most important aspect of breakfast for most people. Then it has to be repeated for each day of your stay. It should be possible to do it all just once and specify how many/which days are required. Finally; each one of these (10 in our case) separate bookings resulted in 10 separate requests to rate the hotel. So much wasted time and clutter in my inbox. And it all creates a completely unjustified expectation of an unpleasant regimented breakfast experience, which, in fact, turned out not to be the case at all.

We would go back. It's...

Liked: We had a sea-facing room, which meant it was also on the road. It was hot when we were there, and we needed the door open for cool. We were not disturbed by the noise, but a light sleeper may have found it difficult.
Disliked: The breakfast room is small, and the hotel has a booking system for one hour only. It wasn't great for us, but equally meant that the room wasn't overcrowded. You have to book using the app, and we recommend you do this as early as possible to get the time slot you require.
