We only stayed one night in order to avoid driving after the concert. No regrets, would stay there again.

Liked: Cleanliness of a 5 star hotel. Attached Grille Bar serves wonderful meals. Go early, usually ' slammed'. Walking distance to the Cross Arena, at supper hour.
Disliked: In need of remodel to modernize.

Not bad. Fairly clean but not worth the price.

Was ok for 1 night...

Liked: Location was really the only upside. Close to restaurants & July 4th activities .
Disliked: Rooms were ok but needed updating. No breakfast, which is my fault. I didn’t check that.

Liked: The fireplace in the room was nice. The front staff was helpful.
Disliked: We stayed at another Fireside Inn in West Lebanon, NH that was fantastic!! The atmosphere in NH was very warm and cozy & our room was beautiful. When we stayed in Bangor, I expected the same experience. The Bangor hotel hallways were bear and bland. Our room had one nice wall with the fireplace. The rest of the room was bland, no decor, the bathroom sink was at the doorway! The toilet too close to the wall. Bad design!! There was a hole in the wall near the tissue dispenser & there were small holes like something was removed from the wall. Very disappointing. Parking lot entry weird too.

I was extremely disappointed in...

Liked: We were given a pet friendly room when we did not request one. The room overwhelmingly smelled of wet dog. It was nauseating. I called the front desk and she said they were all booked so we could not have another room. We didn’t even want to take our clothes out to hang up because we were afraid the smell would get in them. We had to go buy a bottle of Febreeze to make it tolerable.
Disliked: Everything was dingy. The comforters on the beds were old looking. The beds were not comfortable.

Worked for the weekend

Liked: It was close to my daughters graduation which was at the cross center . It was close to restaurants, had pub on site and casino across the street.
Disliked: It was older , 1990’s decor and bathroom had issues with toilet not flushing. It definitely could use an upgrade, but worked for the weekend.
