Ok-ish for a short stay

Liked: The desk staff is very friendly and available. The location is good if you want to be close to all the nightlife, bad if you want a quiet environment. The other guests were nice and respectful of each other.
Disliked: I was there for a weekend and the bathrooms were never cleaned. There was visible trash and dust in the room that was also never cleaned while I was there.

Great location, friendly staff, a...

Liked: Location was excellent to get to many attractions in Austin, including 6th Street and the Texas Capitol. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the secret bar was a really cool bonus!
Disliked: No curtains on the beds in shared dorms was a little disappointing, and surely something easily fixed. Moreover the lockers that were available were all in use in my dorm, so I had nowhere to store my belongings other than on my bed. The lockers themselves also had no locks, instead you had to supply your own padlock, which I was not aware of before arrival and nor was I advised of this at check-in, so even if lockers were available I wouldn't have been able to use them.

Wouldn’t stay anywhere else in...

Liked: The social nature of everything was the highlight of the trip. Loved hanging out with everyone and exchanging stories with them.
Disliked: It was a little warm but a small fan on my bed fixed it right away.

Amazing hostel !! 100% recommend

Liked: Great events, great place to meet people bc everyone wanting to stay in a hostel is here! Staff are so friendly and very welcoming!!! Beds are comfy and few washer and dryer is awesome !!
Disliked: The all female dorm didn’t have curtains on the beds, I think that would be a nice addition.

Liked: Location, sturdy beds (not shaking when people were moving in or out), nice kitchen area. But for short stays, it would be nice to include information on the social events in the welcome email.

It’s a good option if...

Liked: Location is great with an awesome bar.
Disliked: The person who assisted us when we arrived. I booked a female room and a man was checked in to the room
