Liked: We really enjoyed the unique ambiance of the hotel, they had a very nicely decorated space both in the room, and in the common areas. Check in was quick and finding our room was easy.
Disliked: Overall, the stay was amazing. If I had to pick a few things I didn?t care for, one would be that you can hear EVERYTHING. People walking the halls, rolling bags, talking in the next room over. Very thin walls and really no sound proofing. The halls and rooms are not carpeted, so sounds just echo around. So, if you are a light sleeper I suggest bringing ear plugs or a white noise maker.Another thing that we didn?t care for was he parking location. We figured when we had to pay for parking that our vehicle would be housed in a lot, but the spaces are beside the building in a gravel lot alley under the train tracks. The only option of parking in your assigned space is to pull in and hope no one parks behind you. There are a few pay lots, and street parking spaces around the building that we will probably use next time!

Great space, value, and location....
Liked: Very cool concept, if you're into a vintage sport look. It's kind of like what the YMCA would be if it was a boutique hotel. It's super convenient to have a coffee shop/bar in the lobby. We actually ate their once, and the food was great and reasonably priced. We didn't use the kitchen, but it was a great option. The rooms were basic, but very clean. And the bed was comfy.
Disliked: We were on the first floor. There was only a sliver of a window, so it was like a dark cave in our room most of the time. When we did open our window, we got a beautiful view of the dumpster in the alley. Also, the walls are kind of thin, so from 6am you start hearing all the heavy industrial doors slamming. At night there is an even bigger heavy industrial door that closes to separate the lobby area from the rooms. And people start pushing this thing with all their might at 6am. The hotel should consider just letting this door be open at 6am when people start to get up. We had some late nights in Chicago, and it was hard to get some sleep. Perhaps it would have been better if we were on a different floor.
