All in all, good time - thanks.

Disliked: Lights in room - some worked, then some didn't. No bulbs in some!

Should have been cheaper to...

Liked: Well priced.
Disliked: Bars in the same parking lot, poor maintenance, poor cleanliness. Broken light, drawer handle, tile on floor loose, bathroom door would not shut. Sketchy part of town.

Don't Expect Too Much, and...

Liked: The location was perfect for my needs! Check in was very simple and hassle free, and the young man at the front desk was very kind, friendly, and accommodating... once he got there (see below). This is an older no frills hotel, but I knew that when I booked it so it was not an issue. I did not go there expecting a Hilton experience. It would not have been ideal for an extended stay, but was perfectly fine for a couple of nights. I had read multiple reviews before booking, and I did not have any problems with many of the things others had complained about. I had plenty of hot water, the room was clean, and the noise from the music of nearby establishments was not a problem. I have to be back in that area in a few weeks, and I plan to stay there again if possible.
Disliked: When I arrived, which was about 3:00 PM in the afternoon, there was no one at the front desk and two other frustrated guests were standing in the lobby waiting for service as well. I was on a very tight schedule and needed to check in to get dressed for an event where I was appearing, and I did not have a minute to waste-- so this was very frustrating. There was a small sign taped to the counter that said "staff will return soon" (or something like that). I immediately thought this was unprofessional and the sign of what was going to be an unpleasant stay. First impressions are everything! Once the young man returned and procedure returned to normal it was obvious that I was wrong. The problem was not an unprofessional staff. The problem was an understaffed front desk. This one young man was the ONLY person on staff for a busy Saturday afternoon, and he was doing the work of at least three people. He was doing a fantastic job with the multiple tasks he had been faced with. This is not a sign of poor staff, but a sign of poor management. What kind of manager would staff his/her front desk with one person at check-in time on one of the busiest weekends of the summer in Music City? That is not fair to the patrons , and it is certainly not fair to the overworked employee. Perhaps someone called out sick, but if they did, then the manager's tail should have been there working the desk alongside the employee! Now that would have impressed me! Once we got past this hiccup, the rest was smooth sailing and the stay was very pleasant. My only other complaint was the inconvenience of the ice machine. I was on the third floor, and the only ice machine I found was on the first floor. This was a major inconvenience. If there were other ice machines, then they were well hidden. I am sure I will get one of those cut and paste responses about how management will address these inconveniences, but I will be back in a few weeks and we shall see.

Just a nope

Liked: Location is good
Disliked: The room was dated and uncomfortable only two pillows for a king size bed. Our room was straight from the 1970s. Not the cool retro vibe it was tired and dated. Plaster falling uneven floors questionable locks on the door thin walls we could hear people talking next door. Classic bate and switch pics do not match reality.
