Nestled within 4 acres of rolling countryside originating in the 17th century the thatched AA 5-star Gold Fernside Bed and Breakfast has easy access to Exmoor. North Devon beaches are just 40 minutes' drive away and the M5 is less than 15 miles away. Nearby seaside resorts such as Exmouth are 1 hour's drive away. Guests can visit the nearby town of Tiverton to see the remains of the medieval castle 15 minutes' drive away. Free WiFi a flat-screen TV and an iPod docking station feature in the spacious rooms. The private bathroom includes free toiletries a bathrobe slippers a roll-top bath and a separate shower. Some rooms have a balcony and far-reaching views of the countryside. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Liked: Little details are lovely: chocolates in the bedroom, decor beautiful & choice of different homemade breads at breakfast plus anything you chose from menu. Delicious! Everything was exceptional. We have been there before and welcomed the opportunity to go back- something we have never done before. Friendly helpful hosts.

Beautiful accommodation. Delicious food and...

Liked: The location was peaceful well off the main roads but the standard of accommodation and friendliness of Linda and Ian was worth the detour.The property was immacutely clean and very comfortable The breakfast was beautifully cooked and plentiful with homemade bread and jams. We were made to feel very welcome and enjoyed our stay.We shall return in the future when travelling that way.

Liked: We had a small amount of difficulty locating the property but once we were there we received a lovely warm welcome from the delightful hosts.The property is in a beautiful location with gorgeous views and is extremely quiet.Very comfortable bed with lovely linensSuper breakfast with many choices

Liked: An excellent bed and breakfast with no faults at all. A delightful couple, beautiful cottage in a stunning setting. This is our second stay and hopefully will not be our last.

Liked: The property is lovely. It is comfortable, clean and has everything you need. The breakfast is delicious and the views are amazing. The hosts, Ian and Linda are such a nice couple.

Fabulous

Liked: Everything at Fernside is faultless - the hosts, the accommodation, the views, the grounds, and the breakfasts. And the small guest lounge complete with small fridge for your wine and beer is a bonus. Can't recommend highly enough. Thank you Linda and Ian.
Disliked: There was nothing to NOT like.
