Hotel Description
Just 12 minutes' walk from the seafront harbor Ferndale Lodge is a detached Victorian villa in its own private grounds. There is free Wi-Fi throughout and free private parking on site. Each light and traditionally furnished room benefits from a TV tea and coffee making facilities and private bathroom. Other facilities include an in-room safe a hairdryer and a DVD player. A full English breakfast is served in the morning with food made from locally sourced ingredients. You can relax in the guest lounge beside an open fire watch the plasma TV and in warmer weather sit outside on the sun terrace. Ferndale Lodge is a 15-minute drive from Paignton. Newton Abbot is 6 miles away and the edge of Dartmoor National Park can be reached in around 30 minutes' drive.

Very good

Liked: There waGood breakfast with several options available. Very quiet and peaceful location. Helpful owner. Parking convenient, if a little tight.
Disliked: I found the bed uncomfortable and slept lightly. There were minor issues with cleanliness, including a little mould on the bathroom ceiling. The hand soap dispenser had also corroded slightly inside - so the soap contained rust!
